About Kelly

Bridge

Who I am being and how I coach are inextricably intertwined. So, let me give you a snapshot.

Several years ago I hit a full-blown wall of burnout. I had been working as a psychiatrist for nine years, and even though my career made a meaningful contribution, continuing forward with no changes did not seem sustainable.

Like many of my clients, I knew I needed to change something, but had no idea what to do! Fortunately, upon the recommendation of a colleague, I started working with a coach. And...that relationship changed everything.

First--and I considered this miraculous--the burnout vanished. The internal complaining largely stopped; I felt a renewed sense of hope; I enjoyed being with my patients; and I stopped dreading each day. What a gift!

But that was just the beginning. Over time, the fear that once owned me no longer dictated my actions and decisions. I stepped out of the box of chronic self-doubt and limitation, and into a world of vast possibilities. I started showing up in my relationships more authentically and openly. And...I achieved "impossible" goal of stepping into a sustainable career that powerfully serves others AND feeds my mind and soul. Wow!

I was so transformed from the coaching experience – and knew others who had been as well – that I simply knew my calling was to do this for others.

I saw how my aptitudes, skills, and passions made coaching an incredibly obvious choice. Why, specifically? I'm naturally creative and intuitive with a counterbalance of solid logic, have a deep commitment to my personal growth, and love empowering people to thrive, to realize their deepest, "impossible" dreams, and to BE at peace and ease with themselves and with life.

Coaching expressed all these values, interests, and skills. THIS was the shoe that fit!

To "shine the shoes" and be a masterful coach, I completed extensive and high caliber coach training, became a Certified Coach, and served as faculty at a wonderful coaching school. To this day I remain an avid learner, committed always to cultivating excellence in my craft.

In addition, because of my psychiatry background, I am uniquely qualified to help clients overcome the inner obstacles that hold them back – fear, self-doubt, guilt, limiting beliefs – as well as the outer challenges they need to navigate, holding them accountable to making tangible and measurable positive change in their lives.

Other tidbits you should know about me: I'm funny, and am convinced that humor and irreverence are essential to great coaching. Because I feel compelled to meaningfully help others, I work most effectively with clients whose goals benefit themselves and also make a positive impact in the world. (But, to be clear, you don't need to be the Dalai Lama, so don't sweat it!).  I also value depth and recognize its potency in coaching, so expect me to dig deeply into what inspires and blocks you--without psychoanalyzing you!

Crucially, I know that you are innately well--and I will hold that vision for you until you can see it for yourself.

I currently live in Tucson, AZ with my husband. I have a colorful past but no tattoos to show for it, which makes me a bit of an anomaly.
